I think Vox has so many things right, but at the same time, so does Blogger. I hope my account doesn't get deleted for saying that. No offense to six apart.
I now have a family blog running, using WordPress. It's free, what can I say? http://oharasite.org
I have been reading an admittedly old book on Google search, I think it's dated 2004. I think it's good info. The reason I'm reading it, is for my wife's site, I'm about to pay for some words so she comes up in serach. So far we haven't pushed her business much, but part of my new year's resolution is to push it some more, and possibly pay for a nice new digital camera, or a trip to Australia, or if we are lucky, both.
After reading the section about PageRank, I decided to post my wife's website. http://reborn-designs.com.
Right now I'm trying to change web hosts, and I don't want to pay for another year through the reseller so the page might actually be down when you click through. However it's up right now, and I haven't paid for the domain registration even though it's supposed to have expired.
One more reason to put it here...
I have a phrase on my intro 'you can't sell your soul to the devil..' and when I typed something like "devil if he's not buying" into Google THIS BLOG was the ONLY result. How cool is that???
Once again that's Reborn Interior Designs, located outside of DC as in Washington.
How am I going to post on other Voxers if I don't have an account? Don't cancel me! On third thought, my wife will be upset. This is one of those glass is half full both ways, just with different stuff, say Diet Coke vs Root Beer.
Well this account isn't taken down yet, I hope my dear wife doesn't blame me. I actually like the UI and blog-friendly tools here. Good job team Vox!
I don't know what will happen when I hit send. I love you Napoleon
Hill!
I'm a late comer to the world of blogging and that suits me fine.
My mind tends to wander, my writing tends to ramble.
My mind has wandered into thoughts of what would I like to be on the leading edge of? What out there even has a leading edge any more?
I think it was two weeks ago I got my first frisbee golf discs. I think that's a sport that isn't insanely popular as in everyone knows it, the courses are relatively free of the middle 80.
Actually I read about the Russian guy who didn't want his math award, and they were saying that he cracked some math problem that was plaguing the community (plagueing?) for centuries. The article was really stupid though, it went into, "will he crack this other math problem for the prize of $1M, maybe not." This is related to my earlier paragraph positing the question: 'is there a leading edge any more?' and the answer it would seem is yes.
